802.11 b+g USB Wireless LAN Utility

HI all, does anyone here know about this wireless lan utility?
I am asking for my friend here as he always lock on to others wireless network but he already had a network for himself already , is it possible to do any setting for this wireless lan utilityso that in the future it will not connect to others network , only to his network instate. Thanks ......
 
The simple answer to that one is to encrypt the network with either WEP or WPA. There's usually a 'Security' tab on wireless utilities to do this. When both ends are encrypted with the same key, they will only connect to each other.

It's always a good idea to encrypt a wireless network anyway. Otherwise you're exposed.
