The vertex's are widely considered the best price/performance ssd's on the market. Plus whenever the vertex II's come out with the sandforce controller, intel is gonna be in a corner crying

The 120gb and 60gb are pretty much identical in performance. Plus i doubt intel is gonna be willing to go with the sandforce controller, as they are trying to develop theirs in-house. Early information on the Vertex II's looks promising.

The intel is better at random reads/writes, but not twice as good (intel is almost twice as much).

yeh i figured, but if you look at it like that then you could buy another one of these vertex drives and raid0 them and it would out perform the intel and have more storage

so all in all it is a good deal!

the drive cost me £210 a few months back...

i tell you what i will look for another of these drives second hand and ill work out how much i need too add so i can have 2 of these drives!

the intel ssd would be worth more in my country thats the problem, i was to ask you to pay what we would pay you wouldnt because we get our asses ripped off big time
