I have a Wifi 54G USB pen card and a DLink 802.11 AP. It says it can go up to 22mbps with Air Pro cards, but the card I have is some generic brand, not DLink. is there some way to perhaps fool these devices and make it run at 22mbps? Usally 11 is fine, but sometime when I'm doing stuff on my server, it's a bit slow...

Or, another idea I have that I may try soemtime is install a Dlink 54G card in my access point. The current card in there is simply a modified PC-Card(so it can have antennas) so wouldn't it work? Well, other than possible driver problems

1. 22Mbits doesnt exist.... its just driver trickery from 11Mbits (and they conveniently assume 2:1 compression).
2. Doubtful you can convert a non-AirPro device
3. Doubtful even more because you're trying to connect G-Band to B-band and the G-device will automatically scale to 11Mbits (of course this doenst rule out firmware "alterations")
