5.1 to home theater using XFI Fatal1ty

Hello, all. At this moment I am trying to get my 5.1 home theater setup hooked up to my computer so I can play DVDs and whatnot through the surround set-up via the comp.
As I stated in the title I am using the Creative XFi Fatal1ty card to do so. I have been using the optical out on the card, but I still seem to be out-smarted by the card as I am only getting 2.1. Any help is greatly appreciated.

2.1 is the most you can get with the optical out. If you want full surround, you'll have to run RCA cables from each port on your sound card (front, rear, etc.) into your receiver.
