5.1 Surround sound with on board sound card?

Hi guys, I was wondering if I am able to use my CA-5001 speakers which are 5.1 Surround sound speakers on my sound card that is on board with my mother board. My mother board is the ASUS P5LP-LE.

I have problems with the sound, and was wondering if my motherboard was capable of 5.1, or would I have to purchase a sound card?

Edit: I was thinking of getting the Creative Labs Audigy SE Sound Blaster Sound Card, and was wondering as well if I could use my speakers then!

Oh, but a lot of the times, some speakers don't work. Sometimes all the sound is on the left speaker itself.
