I am looking for speakers that are or are similar to the Z-5500's. Quality and Compatibly wise.

Post offers and stuff.

Thanks.

Those speakers are worth your money, and a lot of people have them, logitech are very good and would always recommend them for speakers.

You can only plug it into the computer. If you want to route it to the TV/xbox you'd need to run the TV to the (analog) line-in of your computer and xbox through the digital coaxial or optical line in of a sound card, and then have it play through the speaker.

Or you could use the headphone out jack on your tv and a double male minijack cable. Unless you have coaxial out on the tv and then you can use the 3x minijack for pc and then coaxial for tv;)

I'm also considering getting a 5.1 surround sound system. At first I was looking at the cheaper ones from Logitech but I'm leaning towards a 5.1 speaker system and a 5.1 amplifier instead. Because I need a good and versatile system that can handle listening to music, watching movies and playing games. So my advice is look in to getting something closer to hifi standards if you intend to also use the speakers to watch movies and listen to music. The Z-5500 is without a doubt good, but they seem to be better for games where the frequency response can be a bit more "biased" and the bass a bit looser. A hifi set has a flatter frequency response.

Very good point. PC speakers are absolutely no match for a nice set of home theater speakers. The price, however, is also very different.
